This drop POD (container) is maintaining the parachute between two fixed anchor points and the servo, which acts to activate the whole system.
Once the servo is operated, the elastic belts of this drop POD are released and the parachute spreads.

This POD can be used with parachutes having a surface area up to 2.5 m² (2. 5 square meters).
