The technic called Infrared thermography (IRT) or thermal imaging is based on the Infra Red radiation of an object or a place in relation with it's temperature. The picture obtained this way is called a thermogram.
Several applications are directly related to thermography like the thermal building diagnostics, sensing the heat losses through the roofs, the detection of water scarcity in agriculture, the temperature measurements used to monitor industrial facilities and others. The aerial thermography is the method that allows to have an overview of a large space in a minimum of time.
